- "Pieters" is pronounced as "Peters".
- My official title is "Assistant Instructional Professor", it also called a "Lecturer". My primary job role is teaching undergraduate and MA students in various aspects of the economics curriculum at University of Chicago (see my CV or Resume for specific courses).
- Feel free to reach out with media or speaker requests by sending an email to [email protected]: I consider public communication and education about economics or my area of economic research an important part of my role as an academic. However! To protect my time I no longer speak at events where my travel and accommodation are not compensated. If people are required to buy tickets to attend you need to pay me an honorarium. Standard exemptions for academia and policy institutions apply. From October to May (the academic year) I may be slow to respond.
